Yes, we know how to work a gas fireplace. Then we tried to light the fireplace and the gas was not working. It was already late and we were tired so we tried to log onto the internet and couldn’t. They thankfully showed up about 5 minutes later and repaired the lock and let us in. I called the front desk we’d just checked into and the once very friendly girl was rude and hung up on me saying she’d see IF maintenance was still there to let us in! We waited 15 minutes and did not receive a call back, so i called again and she said maintenance would be there soon. We got to the cabin and the key did not open the door. Couldn’t see the road from the truck it was so steep, so I had to get out to help navigate onto the very steep road. It was an offshoot from the street and extremely narrow and steep and on the edge of a cliff. The driveway /road to get to the cabin was very difficult to maneuver. We arrived late at check in and check in was very pleasant.
PS: I had to choose a date of stay which is not correct but no correct choice available. I am hoping they will strive to be more understanding and caring because we would like to continue staying with them. Of all the places we have stayed they have the nicest and cleanest cabins in the best location. The lady was very short with me and I was told they could not hold my reservation payment any longer so I lost that money. Just this past week I had to cancel a reservation that we have had to change a few times because of my husbands surgery, covid and now beause of his business being short staffed he could not leave. At each time we were never offered an apology, discount or refund. After reporting this as with all the other times nothing was done. There was no happy medium no matter how much we adjusted the heat system. The rooms downstairs were so cold and the upstairs was miserably hot and stuffy. Once we rented the Farmhouse with a group of our church friends. Another time on a windy night a loose piece of metal roofing flapped all night. After reporting our complaint nothing was done. We once had cabin with a very overly noisy hot tub right outside the bedroom so there was no sleep for us. Its sad their Christian values does not flow into their staff. One reason we chose them was because they were founded by a Christian Family.
